Personal Statement

In my previous work in primary and urgent care, I found that patients’ mental and physical health are inseparably linked, but mental health needs are not always prioritized. I decided I wanted to work in a practice where I could help people with both, which is what drew me to Owl and Eagle. When people are struggling with their mental health, they don’t always have the energy or focus to engage in self-care behaviors like eating a healthy diet and exercising. In addition, psychiatric medications often cause weight gain and metabolic changes that can make maintaining health more difficult. I’m here to help! I diagnose and treat depression, anxiety, and ADHD, and work with patients to implement good self care practices, so they can achieve their health and fitness goals. For patients who need to lose weight or improve their metabolic health, I employ the latest innovations in weight management including weight loss medications such as phentermine, peptides, semaglutide and tirzepatide. In conjunction with dedicated lifestyle changes, these medications can help you reduce risk of disease and add quality years to your life. Through counseling, I can help you identify and release beliefs that hold you back, and help you love yourself as you are, while you work to improve your health. My purpose is to provide individualized, highly motivating, compassionate care, to set you up for sustained success. With your commitment, we will develop a holistic treatment plan incorporating nutrition, lifestyle, and pharmacological interventions to help you improve your mental health and achieve optimal wellness.
