When you meet with me, I will make you feel welcomed, understood, and comfortable. I will partner with you in creating a unique, holistic treatment plan that can include up-to-date medications and medical treatments, as well as support in implementing changes in nutrition, activity, and sleep habits that will jump-start your recovery and help you maintain improvement. I will thoroughly discuss risks and benefits of any proposed treatments, and will encourage you to ask questions and do research, so you can make informed decisions about your own care. You will never feel rushed or pressured, and you will always have the final say in our treatment decisions. I love working with patients of all genders and with any psychiatric problems, but I am very passionate about Women's Mental Health, and have specialized expertise in treating psychiatric problems affecting women, including issues around fertility, sexuality and gender identity, peri-partum disorders, and problems associated with pre-menopause and menopause.

Shannon Stewart, DNP, PMHNP-BC is a Psychiatric and Mental Health Nurse Practitioner at Owl & Eagle Health and Wellness in Greenwood Village, Colorado. Dr. Stewart is deeply committed to partnering with her patients to develop holistic treatment plans centered around up-to-date medications and medical treatments incorporating lifestyle changes in nutrition, activity, and sleep to enhance recovery and maintain improvements.

Dr. Stewart emphasizes the importance of informed patient participation. She thoroughly discusses the risks and benefits of all treatment options, encouraging patients to ask questions and conduct their own research. This approach ensures they feel confident and empowered in making decisions about their care, without feeling rushed or pressured.

With a particular passion for women's mental health, Dr. Stewart possesses specialized expertise in treating psychiatric issues affecting women across all stages of life. This includes fertility-related concerns, sexuality and gender identity issues, peripartum disorders, and challenges associated with perimenopause and menopause. Her inclusive practice welcomes patients of all genders and addresses a broad spectrum of psychiatric problems.

Dr. Stewart completed her Doctor of Nursing Practice at Arizona State University in Tempe, and is board certified as a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner. Further enhancing her specialization, she obtained a certification in Psychiatric Treatment Across the Female Lifespan from the Massachusetts General Hospital Center for Women's Mental Health in Boston.

In her spare time, she enjoys exploring the beauty of the Colorado outdoors and discovering new restaurants.

She treats patients age 15 and up for all psychiatric disorders. She is now accepting new patients and provides visits via telehealth and in-person at our Greenwood Village location.
